Changes have been made to your Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card

Discovery FCU partnered with a new credit card processor to offer you an improved Visa Credit Card product. The conversion to the new processor took place on August 21st. All members with a Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card received a new Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card. (This is for Visa Credit Cards only and will not affect our Visa Debit Cards). You need to activate your new Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card. Your old Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card will no longer work.

Your Visa Credit Card Number Changed

All cardholders and authorized users will have their own unique credit card numbers.

As an added security feature, each cardholder listed on your credit card account will have their own credit card number, rather than joint cardholders and authorized users sharing the same card number. This gives you the ability to keep active cards in use in a lost or stolen situation – only one card needs to be replaced, rather than all. You will continue to receive one statement delivered to the primary cardholder listed on the account.

Activate Your New Card

After You Activate Your New Card, You’ll Need to Update Your Information

Update any automatic payments you have established using your old card number, such as gym memberships, Netflix, Amazon, etc.
Enroll your new card in your digital wallet.
Reestablish automatic payment information.

Important Information

Your Card Information will Change

The primary cardholder, joint cardholders, and authorized users will receive:

A new account number
A new expiration date
A new CVV code

New Discovery FCU Credit Cards will be mailed in increments of two (2) in mid-August. If there is a primary cardholder and joint cardholder listed on the account, both cards will be mailed in the same mailer. If there are additional joint cardholders and/or authorized users on the account, they will be mailed separately in increments of two (2).

All individuals on the account will have unique card information.

ScoreCard Rewards will Remain the Same

Your accumulated ScoreCard Rewards points will automatically transfer over to your new card.
You will continue to earn ScoreCard Rewards points on your new card as you did with your old card.
You can access and redeem your ScoreCard Rewards points at www.ScoreCardRewards.com.

The Look of Statements will Change

Your statements will look different.
The primary member’s FICO score will now be displayed on your statement.
You will receive one monthly statement sent to the primary member associated with the account.

e-Statements will transfer over. You will not have to re-enroll in e-statements.

If you had e-statements for your old credit card, you will continue to receive e-statements with your new credit card. You do not need to re-enroll in e-statements.

Enhanced Digital Experience

(The SecureLock Equip Mobile App is being Replaced with a New App)

If you use the SecurLock Equip mobile app with your Visa Credit Card now, it will no longer work when the credit card conversion is complete. Watch for details regarding a new mobile app that will be associated with your new Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card.

Update Your Mobile Wallets

You will need to enroll your new card in your mobile wallets. If you previously enrolled your old card in your mobile wallet, it will not work after August 21st. With our new cards, you can enroll in the following mobile wallets:

Apple Pay
Samsung Pay
Google Wallet
FitBit Pay
Garmin Pay

Update Your Automatic & Recurring Charges and/or Payments to Merchants using your Credit Card Information

(Gym memberships, Amazon, Cable Bill, etc.)

If you have automatic and/or recurring charges/payments set up with your old Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card information, you will need to update your information with your new card information once you have activated your card on August 21st. Your new Visa Credit Card includes a new card number, new expiration date, and a new CVV code.

Please do not update your information until your new card is activated on or after August 21st.

Automatic Payments to Pay your Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card

If you set up automatic payments to pay your Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card using our old credit card processor’s online account access service, eZCardInfo.com, this information will NOT automatically transfer over. Watch for details regarding our new credit card processor’s online & mobile banking account access platform. If you are unsure how your automatic payments are set up, please contact the credit union at 610.372.8010.

Update Your Bill Pay Service to Pay Your Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card

If you utilize a bill payment service to pay your Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card, you will need to update your Bill Pay account with your new Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card information. You will need to create a new payee with the new payment address.

What Should I do with my Old Card?

After you receive and activate your new Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card on or after August 21st, please securely destroy your old Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card. You may also bring it to the credit union and we will shred it for you.

Please do not destroy your current Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card until your new card is activated on or after August 21st.

What will my new card look like?

Your new card will be EMV Chip Enabled and offer the ability for Contactless Payments.

Your new Discovery FCU Visa Credit Card will have flat printing, not embossed (raised numbers) and your name, card number, expiration date, and CVV number will be located on the back of the card.
