Since 1961, their counselors have been helping people achieve their financial goals through comprehensive financial counseling and exceptional service. Free Financial Counseling
A GreenPath counselor will thoroughly review your current financial situation and develop a comprehensive budget and action plan. The counselors will also teach money management skills, including ideas to increase income and ways to reduce expenses.
Debt Management Plan
Members who are having difficulty paying bills or staying current on credit card payments may sign up for this service. A GreenPath counselor will help prioritize payments, negotiate payment amounts, and set up payment schedules with creditors. There is a fee for a Debt Management Plan (DMP) and the counselor will thoroughly explain all options and applicable fees.
Housing Counseling
GreenPath is approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide housing counseling services. GreenPath counselors educate first-time homebuyers, provide reverse mortgage and home equity loan counseling, and counsel consumers on foreclosure prevention.
Credit Report Review
A credit report review helps individuals evaluate their credit report, learn how to dispute inaccurate information, and understand all aspects of credit scoring.
Student Loan Debt Counseling
GreenPath can help individuals make smart borrowing decisions and plan ahead to prepare a repayment strategy. Those who are having trouble paying their student loans can review their situation and evaluate their options with a counselor.
GreenPath University
GreenPath University is a comprehensive and interactive online educational resource. Members have access to e-courses, videos, games, worksheets, and both live and recorded webinars. Members can learn about personal finance topics including budgeting, debt management, credit scores, home buying, and many other things.
