Protecting your accounts
Discovery Federal Credit Union never initiates requests for sensitive information by e-mail (such as social security numbers, personal identification numbers (PIN), passwords, or account numbers). If you receive an e-mail requesting this type of information, please contact Discovery immediately and report the e-mail fraud.
What information we may collect on this Web site – not including Discovery Online
We collect information from you when you subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey or fill out a form. When completing forms, signing up for our newsletter or responding to surveys we may ask you to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address or phone number.

Discovery FCU Online Banking/App
Discovery FCU Mobile Apps periodically collect, transmit, and use geolocation information for enabling features such as, but not limited to, card use and alerts to prevent fraudulent activates, but only if the end user expressly authorizes collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background, only while the feature(s) are being used, or not at all, depending on the end user’s selection. The end user can change his/her/their location permissions at any time in their device settings.
Image Collection and Usage:
Discovery FCU Mobile Apps may collect and utilize user images for various purposes aimed at enhancing user experience and providing specific functionalities. Users maintain control over the camera access and usage within the apps. Camera access is explicitly requested when the apps requires image capture for any functionality. Users can enable or disable camera access at any time through the apps’ settings. Disabling camera access will prevent the apps from utilizing the camera for any functionality requiring image capture. We are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users’ information. Any images collected are used solely for the intended purposes outlined above and are not shared with any unauthorized parties. By using our apps, you consent to the collection and usage of images as described in this privacy policy.
Email Security
Regular Internet email is not secure. You should never provide information that is sensitive or confidential such as your social security number, account number or PIN numbers. We also ask that you do not send personal or account Information through regular email.
Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
From our Web site, we do not knowingly collect or use personal information from children under age 13.
