Whether you’re looking to grow your family by four more paws, or just contribute to a great cause, Discovery FCU has an exciting opportunity coming up that you won’t want to miss.
On Thursday, April 30th from 12:00–1:00 PM, we’ll be hosting a special dog adoption event right here at Discovery FCU. The pups provided by Mostly Muttz Rescue are currently looking for their forever homes. Whether you’re ready to adopt or just want to stop by for some midday puppy love, we’d love to see you there.
You’ll get a chance to meet:
- Kenji, an 8 year old Beagle boy! He’s spunky, fun, and always ready to make you smile — especially when he breaks out his signature little dance after going potty. Yes, really. Kenji has moves. Kenji is great with other dogs, house trained, and crate trained — basically the full package. He’d be just as happy joining you for a hike on the trail as he would be lounging beside you on the sofa for a rainy-day Netflix binge and snuggle session.
- Cash, a senior Cattle Dog! This easygoing gentleman has perfected the art of laid-back living—he’s quiet, gentle, and happiest just being part of the rhythm of your day. Inside the house, Cash most loves spending time with his people snuggled up on the couch, getting as much love as he can get. He’s wonderful with other dogs, completely house-trained, and comfortable in a crate.
- Squirt, a tail-wagging firecracker! Squirt walks nicely on a leash and keeps things interesting with the occasional dramatic “about-face” toward her human—nothing more than a silly habit that’s easily corrected and honestly kind of adorable. She’s a total people-lover who believes everyone is her best friend (and she’s thrilled to meet them). She has plenty of energy and would love an active home that enjoys playtime and fun.

Help Us Help Them: Pet Supplies Drive
In addition to the adoption event, Discovery FCU is proud to support local rescue efforts by launching a Pet Supplies Drive starting 4/23/2026. Caring for rescued animals takes a community, and your donations make a real difference.
We are currently collecting the following much-needed items:
- Wet and dry dog food (adult, puppy, and all life stages)
- Dog treats
- Benebones and Nylabones (all sizes)
- Disposable or washable pee pads
- Pill pockets
- 24-inch wire crates
- Paper towels and Clorox wipes
- Gift cards (Amazon, Chewy, Tractor Supply Co.)
Please donate items by dropping them off inside of the Discovery FCU lobby located at 2744 Century Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. This drive will run until Thursday, 4/30/2026 before 1PM. Every item—big or small—helps provide comfort, care, and a better future for animals in need.
