Supporting a Healthy Community
One of the things that makes Berks County such a special place to call home is the way we look out for one another. When our neighbors have the resources and support they need to stay healthy and thrive, our entire community benefits. That’s why we’re proud to stand alongside organizations that make it easier for our neighbors to access the care, resources and assistance they need.
What Is Berks Community Health Center?
One organization doing just that is Berks Community Health Center. Their mission is to improve access to quality, comprehensive health care for residents of Berks County, regardless of their economic status.
By making health care and other essential resources more accessible, Berks Community Health Center helps individuals and families take important steps toward healthier lives.
Raising Supplies for the Community
This past August, Discovery Federal Credit Union invited our members, employees and community members to support local families who utilize Berks Community Health Center’s services. Together, we collected diapers, snacks, children’s books and other essential supplies to help make everyday life a little easier for the families they serve.
By the end of the drive, thanks to the support of our caring members, we collected more than five boxes of supplies to donate to Berks Community Health Center and the families who rely on their services.
Being Berks Strong
A healthy community is one where we look out for each other. Whether it’s donating needed supplies, supporting local organizations or simply making sure our neighbors have access to the resources they need, every little bit can make a difference.
At Discovery Federal Credit Union, we’re proud to support organizations like Berks Community Health Center that help make caring for our community a little easier. We’ll continue looking for ways to give back, encourage one another and contribute to the health and well-being of Berks County.
