Numbers Associated with your Discovery FCU Membership and Where to Find Them

You are more than just a number at Discovery FCU. But, your numbers are important too.

The numbers associated with your Discovery FCU membership are the keys to completing transactions on your account and inviting contacts to your online and mobile banking account.

 

Member Number / Account Number

Your Discovery FCU member number, also referred to as your account number, is the unique identifier for your overall Discovery FCU membership. Having your member number ready helps our member service representatives locate your information quickly when you contact Discovery FCU for assistance. You will also need this number when you accept a contact invite from another Discovery FCU member to be able to transfer money easily between your accounts. (Person to Person (P2P) Transfers). You can find your member number on your new member paperwork received upon joining.

Share ID and Loan ID Numbers

Under the umbrella of your Discovery FCU membership are the individual shares (checking, savings) or loans you’ve opened for each product or service. Each individual share or loan opened under your Discovery FCU membership is associated with a four-digit number – a Share ID or Loan ID. This Share ID or Loan ID is the last four digits of the number listed under each account in your online/mobile banking dashboard. The Share ID or Loan ID is also listed in the top section and in the solid bars on your account statements.

 

             

Checking Number (MICR)

Discovery FCU checking accounts have an associated Checking Number, also known as the MICR. You will need your MICR number when performing transactions on your Discovery FCU checking account. For example, setting up a direct deposit from your employer, establishing automatic payments, and more. In online and mobile banking, you can find your Checking Number (MICR) by clicking on the checking account in your dashboard and then selecting Account Info. Your Checking Number (MICR) can also be found at the bottom of your Discovery FCU checks if you have them.

Discovery FCU Routing Number

When establishing direct deposit from your employer to your Discovery FCU account, establishing automatic payments to or from your Discovery FCU checking account, and more using your Discovery FCU checking account number, you may also need to reference Discovery FCU’s routing number. A routing number is a nine-digit code used in the United States to identify and authorize the electronic transfer of funds into and out of your account. They are also known as banking routing numbers, routing transit numbers, RTNs, and ABA numbers. Discovery FCU’s Routing Number is 231385646. You can also find this number at the bottom of your checks if you have them. Our routing number can also be found in online and mobile banking by clicking on the More menu option and it is listed in the footer of our website www.discoveryfcu.org.
