Stronger Security for your Discovery FCU Online & Mobile Banking

Your security is a top priority – that’s why we require a 2-Step Verification process as part of your sign-in process for online and mobile banking. 2-Step Verification adds an extra layer of security to protect you and your account in case your password is ever stolen. In addition to entering your password, a one-time use verification code will be sent by SMS text message or e-mail to the cell phone number or e-mail address associated with your Discovery FCU account. The code must be entered and submitted for confirmation to access your account.

It is important that the cell phone number and e-mail address listed on your account are up-to-date. Click here to learn how to update your profile settings in online or mobile banking. You can also update your information by calling the credit union at 610.372.8010.

 

Want to skip the 2-Step Verification Step on devices you trust?

When you log in to online banking from your PC or mobile device for the first time, you will be required to complete the 2-Step Verification process. If you’re using the mobile banking app, you’ll only be required to complete this process once from each mobile device you use unless you erase the device’s history, delete and re-download the app, change your password or change your mobile device.

When using online banking from a browser, such as on a PC or laptop, you’ll need to check the Remember Device option located on the sign-in page when signing in.

 

Here are step-by-step instructions on what to expect with 2-Step Verification using online banking from a browser:

 

Step One: Enter your username and password, click continue.

When you click on continue, a Security Checks pop-up box will display.

 

Step Two: Select if you want the verification code sent to your e-mail address or cell phone, then click on Get Code.

The Get Code button will be grayed out until you select which method you prefer the verification code to be sent. Once you select your e-mail address or cell phone number, the button will turn orange. If you no longer have access to the e-mail address and cell phone number listed, or if no e-mail address or cell phone number is listed, you will need to call the credit union at 610.372.8010 to update your personal information associated with your Discovery FCU account.

 

Step Three: Check your cell phone or e-mail for the verification code and enter it into the field displayed. Then click, Sign In.

The Sign In button will be grayed out until you enter the verification code. Once you enter the verification code, the Sign In button will turn orange. The verification code will expire one hour from the time that it is sent. If you do not receive the verification code via e-mail, please check your Spam folder. If your verification code expires, you will need to have a new code resent. You can click on the Resend Code button, or close your browser or app and restart the sign-in process.

Once you have successfully entered your verification code and clicked Sign In, you will be signed in to online banking and automatically enter your online banking session.

 

How to skip the 2-Step Verification Process when using your private computer or laptop.

Check the Remember Device option on the Sign In box when you initially sign in to online banking.
