Modifications to Call Center and Drive-Up Service Hours
In an effort to maintain the health and safety of our employees while continuing to serve our members to the best of our abilities, it is necessary to modify our call center and drive-up service hours to enable our staff to practice greater social distancing at the branch. Starting on Monday, March 30, 2020, our modified hours will be as follows:
Drive-Up Service Hours
Monday – Thursday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Call Center Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon

Online and Mobile Banking Open 24/7
You can complete almost every account transaction in the comfort and safety of your home using Discovery Online or the Discovery Mobile Banking app. You can view account balances, check your account history, set up and pay your bills, make transfers between your Discovery FCU accounts, view your e-statements, deposit checks and more.

COVID-19 UPDATE – March 20, 2020
Dear Valued Member,
At Discovery FCU, we are continuing to monitor developments related to COVID-19. We have taken precautions and are following the guidance and proactive steps from local health officials. In accordance with Governor Wolf’s orders for all non “life-sustaining” businesses to close, banks and credit unions are considered ‘essential services’ and Discovery FCU will remain open. However; in an effort to do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19, we have limited our branch services to drive-up, digital and telephone services only. Our lobby is closed. Lending needs are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and in-person appointments are accepted only if deemed absolutely necessary.
Rest assured, if for any reason the credit union would be required to close, we’re prepared to continue to serve our members’ financial needs through remote channels. You will not experience any disruptions to online banking, mobile banking or online bill pay. Your mobile deposits, direct deposits, ACH transactions, loan payments and more will continue to be processed without disruption. It will almost be business as usual with the exception of having the ability to visit the branch.
While our drive-up service remains open to serve you, please note we offer additional tools and resources to help you do your banking without having to visit the branch. Here are a few options:
- Visit an ATM to make deposits (if the ATM accepts deposits) and withdraw cash. As a member, you have access to more than 55,000 surcharge-free ATMs worldwide through the Allpoint Network. Note: Discovery FCU does not charge you foreign ATM fees if you withdraw cash at a foreign ATM, however the owner of the ATM may charge you a fee.
- Make purchases with your Discovery FCU Visa debit or credit cards at merchants, online and through mobile wallet.
- Login to online banking from your computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone to check balances, make transfers, pay blls, make your loan payment, view your e-statement and more.
- You can deposit checks from the comfort of your home with mobile deposit, accessible through our mobile app. You can deposit checks with your mobile device. Download the Discovery FCU mobile banking app. Search ‘Discovery FCU’ in your app store. The first $200.00 of your deposit will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit. If you need your funds quicker, send us a secure message through online banking requesting the amount and we will review your account and respond to your request during operating hours.
- Easily send us secure messages through online banking or our mobile banking app and we’ll respond to your questions or request during normal business hours.
- Apply for loans and new accounts online.

In an effort to protect the health and safety of our employees, members and the wider community, Discovery FCU’s branch services will only be accessible through our drive-up, digital and telephone services beginning on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 until further notice. Our lobby will be closed. Lending needs will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be accepted by appointment only if deemed absolutely necessary.
This decision was made out of an abundance of caution due to the rapidly changing impact of the COVID-19 virus. Our management team will continue to meet daily to assess and review the credit union’s Pandemic Preparedness and Influenza Pandemic Plan Policy, the advice and directives issued from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOC), the U.S. Department of State and our local government.

Your maximum daily withdrawal limit is $500.00. If you need to withdraw a larger amount, send us a secure message through online banking and we will respond to your request during operating hours. If you forgot your PIN number, call the credit union at 610.372.8010.
You can deposit checks with your mobile device. Download the Discovery FCU mobile banking app. Search ‘Discovery FCU’ in your app store. The first $200.00 of your deposit will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit. If you need your funds quicker, send us a secure message through online banking requesting the amount and we will review your account and respond to your request during operating hours.
