March 16, 2020 Update
Discovery FCU is making every effort to keep our branch operational for our members and we are currently open for normal business hours in both our lobby and drive-up. We will monitor the rapidly changing coronavirus situation daily and communicate any changes on our website and on social media. To protect the safety of our employees, members, and the community, we strongly suggest that you conduct all of your financial transactions and business using our digital and convenient services, or utilize our drive-up service and avoid coming into the branch.
If you’re not already signed up for online banking, let’s make that happen. Simply click here to get started. Once signed up, you can do virtually everything you would do at our branch without venturing out:
- View account balances and history
- Setup and pay your bills
- Deposit checks

Dear Valued Member,
Every day we hear more and more about the Coronavirus outbreak and we want you to know that Discovery FCU is closely following all developments concerning the disease. The credit union has a Pandemic Preparedness and Influenza Pandemic Plan Policy that allows us to maintain operations even under potentially strained circumstances. We are reviewing and reinforcing that plan in addition to following the advice and directives issued from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) and the U.S. Department of State.
With Discovery FCU’s convenient digital services, you can conduct most account transactions and apply for loans without leaving the comfort and safety of your home. With Discovery FCU Online and Mobile Banking, you can deposit checks, pay bills, transfer funds, check balances, view your e-statements and more, without putting yourself or others at risk.

If you do need to visit the credit union rest assure, we are taking precautionary measures to reduce the risk of contamination. We are sanitizing high contact areas frequently throughout the day, we have hand sanitizer stations available in our lobby and throughout the building, proper hand washing and hygiene information have been posted and distributed to employees and we will implement additional procedures as needed.
We also understand that the Coronavirus may cause hardship to you and we want you to know that we are here for you. We have been advised that there is a notable uptick in the number of phishing attacks related to the coronavirus circulating. Cybercriminals are sending e-mails claiming to be from legitimate organizations with information about the coronavirus. The e-mail messages might ask you to open an attachment to see the latest statistics and if you click on the attachment or embedded link, you’re likely to download malicious software on your device. Please have heightened awareness during this time.
As a reminder, Discovery FCU will never ask you to provide your social security number, account numbers, or passwords by phone, e-mail or text. If you suspect you have been a victim of fraud or if you receive suspicious communication claiming to be from Discovery FCU, contact us at email@example.com or call 610.372.8010.
